DRY Trimming

  1. Flower to Trim Ratio (FTR) - Average 70% (7 tests showed a high of 76%, low of 65%)
  2. Better aroma
  3. Faster than wet trimming - over 1.5 times faster. (machine time only, prep excluded)
  4. Trimmings more suitable for concentrates. (new cyclone leaf collector will improve this)

WET Trimming

  1. Flower to Trim Ratio (FTR) – Average 85% (11 tests showed a high of 91%, low of 78%)
  2. Rack drying flowers takes up much less space than hang drying full branches
  3. Quick Turnaround - faster harvest to sale. Trimming wet and drying can be done in half the time of hang drying and trimming. This can also be a negative as the cut grass smell is more obvious on wet trimmed. Connoisseurs would argue rushing the dry / cure process hurts the final flower quality.
